Allison's story

Allison, British by birth, grew up in Hong Kong and Kenya before moving to the UAE in 1996 to work.

It was during holidays back to the UK and Derbyshire, when her aunt used to take her out riding, that her love of all things equine really began. With a soft spot for Arabian horses, Allison has had some incredible mentors, both equine and human, throughout her journey in a variety of equestrian disciplines.

A competitive endurance rider for 16 years, Allison was fortunate to work with and compete with some incredible horses at FEI 1, 2 and 3* levels in the UAE, Germany, France, UK and Australia.

It was during this time that she first came across Jim Masterson and his bodywork methods. Feeling the difference equine bodywork made to the horses she competed, she knew that one day she wanted to learn how to make that difference and improve the movement and well being of the horses she competed with…

The Masterson Method®

The Masterson Method techniques are a game-changer for anyone who owns, competes or handles a horse.

Working with the horse and not on the horse allows the horse to release tension in essential core muscles, and in the muscles of key junctions of the body that affect movement and performance.

Jim Masterson

Jim Masterson is an equine massage therapist and creator of the world-renowned Masterson Method®. As an equine massage therapist, Jim Masterson was responsible for the US Endurance Team for eight years and also looked after many other international equine greats in various disciplines, including show jumping and driving.

From 2004 to 2013 Jim worked on top equine competitors on the US hunter-jumper circuit in events such as the USEF and Maclay Medal series, and FEI Grand Prix, Nations Cup, Pan American and World Cup jumping events, and with members of the USEF Singles Driving Team.
